Watch out below!!!!!!!

Last night Connor and I were laying on the floor watching TV. When he got up to go get a toy I didn't think anything of it....until the toy landed on my head...

Oh yeah...the firetruck landed ON MY FOREHEAD.

Connor went to get it and tried to maneuver it over me unsuccessfully. All of a sudden I felt a hard slam on my face followed my immense throbbing!!
Holy hell that hurt!

I have a small bump and cut - luckily its not too large or dark and noticeable --- but OMG it still hurts.

Poor guy felt so bad that after wards while I was eating dinner he climbed into my lap and started feeding me pieces of pizza and juice. He was "taking care of me".

Appreciated? Or Bitch Slap!?

For some reason having children automatically makes strangers think it is OK to talk to you - no matter what they have to say. Some comments are appreciated, others, deserve a bitch slap.

Allow me to provide some examples:

1) My mom was holding Paige in the diner last week and a woman came over to us before she left and said to my mom "From one grandmother to another, that is a BEAUTIFUL baby"... APPRECIATED!

2) Just yesterday morning we were out to breakfast with my mom and stepfather and Connor was running through the restaurant after Daddy as we were leaving. He was not loud, or touching anything, just running after Daddy. A gentleman was sitting facing the aisle Connor was in, as I chased him -- and the gentleman giggled and said "I see he keeps you busy! God Bless" -- Ok, that is also appreciated!

3) Last week when I was on the rail trail with some friends I was pushing the double stroller. Connor was sitting up front and shaking his head back and forth, being a silly kid. A little hyper, but so what, he was sitting! So a passerby says "Oohh he seems like he has a lot of energy! (so far...this comment is ok....)" I smiled and said "yes!"

Then...she proceeds to stare at Connor and say "Yeah, I'm sure that your mom begs for bedtime every night." Ummmmm BITCH SLAP!

So, "strangers" -- I'll keep the cute comments, you know where you tell me how pretty/handsome/cute/silly my kids are, thank you very much. And YOU can keep the "handful" comments to yourself - unless you want a good old fashioned bitch slap.

"Lock-ness" Monster

Living below the surface of my tub was Ithe nastiest monster known to man...the

Lock-ness Monster!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I was cleaning the tub last night before Connor's bath I noticed a lot of stray hairs (mine) -- (I'm still losing major hair from after being pregnant...)

As I was cleaning the tub and hairs (EW!!!!) I saw a few wrapped around the center of the drain --so, of course I went to pull that out too -- only to find that the few little strands were attached to the biggest, nastiest, ugliest glob of hair I've ever seen! Ewwwww....

The only remedy to be rid of this for good?? A nice hair chopping session like I did after giving birth to Connor - however, due to my sisters wedding rapidly approaching (9 days! EEK!!!) my hair will remain long for the time being...

In the meantime, BATHERS BEWARE!

5 Months Old!

I can't believe my little girl is 5 months old! I will be able to update her stats after her checkup on Wednesday - I do know she is currently around 14.2 lbs (she had a dr. appt last week since we thought she may have been sick). And at least 23 inches long... She is still wearing 3 month clothing -- some of it is starting to look too small, so we can move to 3-6 month -but those are too long! She is such a peanut!

Paige is a talking and giggling machine! She makes so many sounds I can only imagine what will happen when she starts to talk! She loves to watch her brother - he makes her giggle all the time! My favorite moments are when the two of them just stare at each other and have a "gigglefest"!

Paige rolls over from back to belly non-stop! She even tries to "inchworm" herself once shes on her belly.

And, my big girl eats oatmeal, applesauce and pears!

I can't believe how time has flown by!

I love you baby girl....<3

I miss reading.

I love to read. I think I have read ONE book since Connor was born -- yes, 18 month old Connor.
Wait. Allow me to clarify. I have read MANY books since Connor was born. But, I have not read more than ONE book for myself.

I can fully discuss the finer points of the literary masterpieces known as: "Elmo & Daddy", "Kittens", "Driving My Tractor", "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?", and "Where the Wild Things Are". Granted, they are some great books-- but... I miss reading.

Why don't I read? I'm lazy. Yup. Once both kids fall asleep I have a few minutes to start getting myself ready for work the next day (setup coffee pot, fix my lunch save some time the following morning) so by the time I'm done -- I am lazy and figure its easier to hop on the computer for a couple minutes instead of reading.

So, yes,I miss reading and its my own fault I don't read --but in the meantime, it seems like "Elmo & Daddy" it is!

Just to be mean...

I was thinking of a cruel way for Jason and I to get some amusement by being mean to others. I mean, not that I'd really do it but....

Whenever you go out in public with a child (or two) there's always at least ONE person who is all up in your business about your kid(s) -- who they look like, what they do, they're funny, blah blah blah -- insert your own random stranger comment.

Recently, a very HARMLESS comment was made about Connor looking exactly like Jason... now, that isn't anything annoying, because, both my kids look a lot like Daddy -- however,it made me think.

Wouldn't it be funny if just once we said "oh...well, they're not mine/ours" just to watch the stranger fumble?? Come on, just a little funny??

1 Foot, 2 Feet, 3 Feet, 4 Feet!

I love more and more feet!

If you remember from when Connor was a baby I wrote about how much I loooooove baby feet. They're cute, and stinky (in a non-grown up stink sort of way) and I just love to kiss them, smell them, play "stinky feet" and just tickle them!!

Now I have 2 adorable toddler feet and 2 adorable baby feet to love!
