Ok...famous you say??
Well...he's in the December 2010 issue of Guitar World Magazine in an ad for Fishman products...
So, he did this shoot back in April-but we were never told what magazine it would appear in, or when! So,we'd spent plenty of time looking through all of the guitar magazines we could find in Hannaford, Barnes & Noble - wherever. Since so much time had passed I assumed we'd missed it, or just won't find it.
Just last night we were in Rite Aid for Halloween candy and Jason decided to look through one...well, suddenly he gasped-- I grabbed the magazine and screamed! YES...SCREAMED and cried and jumped up and down. in the middle of Rite Aid. I also forced the sales girls to look at the ad...haha we bought all 4 copies they had.
Then...we found out...he's on their website!!!! http://www.fishman.com/ if you go to the website his ad scrolls across the top -- there are 4-- 3 of his body and one of his arm... in order to see them all simply continue to REFRESH your page until it cycles through all of the ads up top...
Have you ever made photo cards? oh, they're amazing! I made some Fathers Day cards for my husband and the grandpas -- and they were quite the hit! In fact, most of those cards have now found their homes in frames to be on permanent display!
I've made photo books, various sized prints, and of course - the photo cards. I have actually made Christmas cards, Fathers Day cards and the 1st birthday invitations for Paige too!
I have been a bad blogger. In part to an annoying computer that frustrates me to no end while trying to blog, an extra busy schedule and just...."blah-ness". I have had so many blog post ideas flow in and out yet they haven't made it to the computer yet!
Why is it that when I get 5 minutes to myself on the computer Daddy convinces the kids to come get me to play? Is it because the other 15 hours of playing and tending to them weren't enough to warrant a short break? I guess next time when he plays PS3 we should turn the tables, huh?
They were both sick last week (or was it the week before)?? I had to give nebulizer treatments to them both - however, Connor required a sneak attack to get it done!
My neighbor has a son, Alex, who is just 2 weeks older than Connor. Naturally, the boys are BFFs and are constantly on the lookout for one another to play together. HOWEVER...they are big trouble makers! Me and Alex's mom take turns yelling out to and chasing the boys to keep them from running too far, throwing things that shouldn't be thrown and tending to their general safety. Although it gets hectic...its really nice that Connor has a good buddy to play with!
My little lady is 11 months old today!!!!
Its the Pajama Party version because I totally forgot to take the pictures until we were settling down for bed. (excuse Connor's mismatched jammies --I couldn't find the matching top to the PJ pants!)
Paige is really a full time walker! You will catch her crawling when she really needs to get somewhere fast -- but, more than 90% of the time she walks!
She's a chatterbox!- She says "mama" "dada" "baba" "oh yeah" "up" "dum (all done)" "mo (more)" "beebee (baby)"... plus all of the babbling she says -- she doesn't ever seem to quiet down!
Still drinking milk from her bottle - she's perfectly capable of drinking from a straw sippy cup - but really only seems interested in that when its Connor's cup!
Oh, Paige is a new fan of Dora! She gets so excited when Dora comes on TV.
We are in full party planning mode for Paige's first birthday extravaganza!!!!!!!!! ;0)
3 day weekend -- I'm home today, Columbus Day with my two babies. What a relaxing day -- right?
Connor woke up at regular time 6:30a.m. but Paige was still sleeping. I made a pot of coffee and we lounged around in our jammies. Paige woke up at almost 8 a.m.-- more lounging around!
After breakfast it was time to end the lounging and get a move on with our day...
The kids were playing quietly, so I seized the opportunity to actually go to the bathroom without an audience... epic mistake #1 next time I'm better off being a human jungle gym while peeing because...Well...
I hear the kids approaching...so I quickly try to wash my hands, flush the toilet, grab my phone and...uh-oh!!
BUTTER FINGERS........the phone!!!
I see it...fly up in the air...flip around...I reach to grab it- but by now the bathroom has been infiltrated by small people...and...ooooh shiiiiiiiiiiit!!!!!!!!!!!! The phone LANDS in the toilet.
Oh...it gets better. The phone doesn't just LAND there...it gets FLUSHED down the toilet. Yes. Its gone...into the land of the lost..no, i don't have a small phone. I have a blackberry - and it fit down the toilet.
Hopefully its all the way gone -not lingering to cause some blockages in the future to remind me what happens when I try to pee alone. Shame on me.
Now that Connor had his 24 month appointment I can update!
Connor weighs 33 lbs and is 35 1/2 inches tall!
The doctor was pleased to see the tubes in his ears were looking good- seemed to be working, and he's been ear infection free since July!
Connor also had a re-evaluation for Speech Early Intervention this morning. (His initial evaluation was in early July right before getting the tubes... at that time he didn't qualify for EI services.) However...now that Connor is 2 - and his speech hasn't really improved since that time his delay is more significant.
Connor does qualify now for EI services - and will be receiving Speech Language Therapy 1x a week.
(and a special thanks to my two very good SLP friends who listened to me for the past months questioning, speculating and complaining... I appreciate all the tips and advice and just time spent listening to me...)
On Friday, Oct 1st - you turned 2 years old! You are simply my "big boy" now... even though you're still a baby!!! You can do so many wonderful things- you love to dance, jump, tumble, roll- all in the name of entertaining people!
You love playing with your Thomas the Train sets, your blocks, cars/trucks- especially when someone will play with you! (AS long as we play YOUR way! ;0) )
You are a love -- affectionate, caring and tender. Of course you rough house like a "true" boy -but, you find plenty of time for hugs and kisses too!
You are not much of a talker (although we're working on that) but you're observant, and a "Do-Er". You catch on quickly - all too quickly...and although it makes us laugh at your silly ways of trying to be grown up it does sometimes send you for a time-out!
My favorite time of the day is when we snuggle in the glider reading books before you go off to sleep...that time is just ours.
But...you always fit time for everyone in your busy day!
