2 Months is a B.I.T.C.H.

Baby Boy E had his 2 month doctors visit today. He is 12 lbs 2 oz (big boy!!), 21 3/4 inches long and the circumference of his head is 15 1/2 inches. The doctor compares him against both 2 month old and 1 month old babies since he was born early. She suggested that we not worry if he doesn't hit milestones according to his birth age, but rather go with his "adjusted age". (Adjusted age being that had he been born full term he would be only 1 month old while most babies may hold their heads up by 3 mos, he may not do it until 4 mos...) This is all very normal stuff, and she said he is VERY HEALTHY!! Yay!! we all know... the 2 month appointment brings the dreaded SHOTS.

Daddy had to hold the baby while the nurse gave the shots. (Mommy excused herself because she couldn't bear to be in the room. So instead she stood outside the door crying). As the night progresses the fussiness increases, a side effect I'm sure is from the vaccines.

However, I seemed to have been able to perfectly capture Baby E's sentiments about what its like to turn 2 months old...

Do you see what I see??

The face? The finger?? He's telling us that 2 months is a B.I.T.C.H.

This was taken 1 day after he spent some time with his Grandfather? What an influence.

That is awesome. We have a picture from just after B was born. They are weighing him and he's flipping the bird. He must have been pissed about being pulled from his comfy home.

I did the same thing with the 2 month shots. I excused myself and made his 4 month appointment.

Happy 2 months to that adorable little Connor :)
